Gov. Ron DeSantis has tweeted a statement about the Officer-involved shooting that took place Sunday morning. Full story:
Officers did not pursue him at the time but later identified Maduro and attempted to arrest him at his home early Sunday morning.
Officers reportedly heard a female inside the house but they kept knocking until the voice went silent. But as soon as the door was opened, Maduro reportedly opened fire on the officers, seriously injuring one. Bodycam footage shows the officer being shot from Maduro’s point of view.
