When arriving, JSO reported that a teenager was suffering from two gunshot wounds to the upper legs and suffered non-life-threatening injuries due to an alleged “exchange that went wrong.” The shooting was non-targeted.Contact with the victim has not yet been made by officers due to the early stage of the investigation.Multiple JSO officers are canvasing the area at the entrance to King Street at the location of Hollybrook Apartments.
Jarvis Williams, who grew up in the area, says it wasn’t always like this and blames a lack of community resources.
