The 15-year-old is accused of shooting at SAPD officers. The officers were not hit.
SAN ANTONIO — A shackled 15-year-oldappeared before Juvenile Judge William Cruz Shaw Tuesday morning to answer to those serious charges.
Police said when officers responded to a call for help near Rigsby Avenue just inside Loop 410, they found a family disturbance in progress. Officers said they found the teen about a mile away near a popular chicken restaurant at Rigsby and Tyne. A supervisor on scene said the teen's father intervened, and the young man surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident. They reported that this incident is the teen's third appearance in juvenile court. Probation records reflect he faced a charge of possession of a controlled substance in 2021, which was eventually dismissed, and another case last year for assault. They asked the judge to keep the teen in detention.
