A Summit County judge agreed to pay $30,000 of a total $82,500 settlement in a lawsuit filed by a court psychologist who accused the judge and sheriff's deputies of attacking him as he entered the downtown Akron courthouse.

Summit County and the sheriff’s office settled last week. Stormer settled her portion of the case on Wednesday, court records say. Williams, a licensed psychologist, at the time of the Sept. 15, 2020, incident worked for a Summit County Common Pleas program aimed at helping those with mental illness.
