A jury will decide whether Dr. Friederike Von Lintig and nurse Danalee Pascua were criminally negligent in treating Elisa Serna, after a judge determined Monday there was enough evidence for the case to proceed.after a weeklong preliminary hearing last month.
The video, which helped Epley reach her decision to hold the defendants over for trial, shows Serna in sheriff’s custody over five days. after Pascua and an unnamed deputy watched her fall in her cell and strike her head on the wall. In surveillance video footage, Serna appears to have a seizure while on the floor of her cell.
