Justin opened up about his health struggles on Instagram after a TMZ article revealed his Lyme diagnosis. He posted screen shots of the article, which said Justin dealt with depression before his Lyme was diagnosed because he was having symptoms but doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. Despite the various health issues, Justin said he's working on getting healthy now that he has a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Lyme disease is a tick-borne illness that's often marked by a rash around a tick bite that looks like a bull's eye, according to the Mayo Clinic. While symptoms of the disease can vary, early signs include the rash, fever, chills, aches, neck stiffness, and more. If left untreated, later symptoms of the illness include migraines, joint pain, neurological problems and more.
