Sen. Kamala Harris and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez disclosed a proposed bill Monday that seeks to protect low-income communities from the dangers posed by climate change.
The effects of climate change are expected to be felt hardest by the poor, who are less able to relocate or adapt to the environmental degradation posed by rising temperatures.
