Vice President Kamala Harris will play a key role in the Biden administration's plans to mark the anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization Supreme Court decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade and changed abortion policy across the country.
Speaking in Charlotte, North Carolina, on June 24, Harris is set to contrast Republican policies and proposals on abortion with those of the Biden administration, according to NBC News.She will be speaking to a crowd of supporters, advocates, and community leaders in the state.
Harris will further join MSNBC’s Joy Reid next week to participate in a roundtable discussion on the effect of the Supreme Court's decision. The organization also shared that it will be commemorating"this victory" with people such as Rep. Elise Stefanik , Kellyanne Conway, and other female lawmakers that it says"led the charge on pro-life laws." It will also be joined by pregnancy resource center directors and some of the mothers that have received support from them.
