Exclusive: AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania and AvengersThe KangDynasty writer teases more powerful Kang variants with 'omnipotent powers' in the future: 'Let's save all that time travel stuff, let's save all that complicated multiverse stuff for later.' ⏱️
Writer Jeff Loveness teases Kang variants with more dangerous powers after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quatumania. Kang was officially introduced in the MCU with Ant-Man and the Wasp; Quantumania, and Loveness will continue his story in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Kang is an incredibly powerful and intelligent Nexus Being and time traveler with ties to the multiverse that very few others possess.
In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Loveness teased more "omnipotent powers" for Kang in the future. He compared Kang's introduction in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania to Loki in Thor. Loveness also hinted at what these new powers will be and how much more dangerous the Kang variants can get.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Jeff Loveness: I wanted specifically to stay away from more of his omnipotent powers. There'll be plenty of time for that stuff later. In the same way that the first Thor movie really lets you get to know who Loki is before he takes it to 11 in Avengers, I think that was the big opportunity here of like, "Let's save all that time travel stuff, let's save all that complicated multiverse stuff for later.
The MCU's "prime" timeline has drawn the attention of the Council of Kangs, especially after the defeat of the exiled Kang the Conqueror. The Council of Kangs is primed to be even more dangerous, and Loveness has teased powers they are able to use that the other two variants weren't. Kang is a Nexus Being with time travel and multiversal powers the likes of which haven't been truly explored.
The idea of killing Cassie and making Scott relive the moment over and over is awful, but it seems like it could be a cheap parlor trick when compared to the universes he wiped out. Kang's ability to time travel, his intelligence, and his variants are his greatest weapons. He has an army of variants, can use futuristic technology, and attack throughout time.
