Kate Middleton has arrived at Wimbledon, and the only thing that could possibly make this situationquintessentially British is if we got a snap of her sipping Pimms while she watched the action on Centre Court.
The Duchess of Cambridge is patron of the Lawn Tennis Association, and is such a big fan of the annual tennis tournament she's only missed one year since marrying into the royal family in 2011. This year, Kate turned up to day two of the tennis in an outfit that can only be described as 'tennis whites... but make it fashion'. But as she took her place in the Royal Box, ready to watch the first match of the day play out, there was one notable difference in comparison to last year: her company.
Last July, just six weeks after Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex joined her new sister-in-law Kate at Wimbledon. The Duchesses chatted and laughed as they watched on together, and everyone else felt collectively joyful at the display of new happy families.This year, however, Meghan was nowhere to be seen - and we're not exactly surprised.
