The Duchess is continuing her mission to help vulnerable and needy children
, the Duchess of Cambridge was busy making eco-friendly reindeer food and home-made Christmas decorations on a day out at a country farm on Tuesday.
Kensington Palace announced Tuesday that the Duchess is taking the patronage on from Her Majesty the Queen, who took the patronage over from Queen Mary in 1953, making it one of the Royal Family’s most long-standing associations. “The children were very excited and the parents a little nervous but she immediately put everyone at ease and made sure everyone had a fun day," said David Holmes, Family Action’s CEO. “She also gave the parents an opportunity to share their own experiences of parenting.
The Duchess previously visited Family Action's Lewisham base in January 2019 where she launched the charity's national support line, FamilyLine. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also visited the charity's “Family Monsters Garden” at the Chelsea Flower Show in May 2019.
