It's a Gigi Hadid and Jennifer Lopez paparazzi sitch all over again.
Thanks to 2019's two Halloweekends, we've already been treated to plenty of celebrity costumes, but none quite like the one Katy Perry wore three years ago when she celebrated Halloween while dressed like 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
As evidenced by her famous Cheeto costume in 2014, Katy tends to commit hard to her Halloween outfits, so for her take on Hillary, she wore prosthetics and everything. Unfortunately though, Katy is now facing a lawsuit over an Instagram she posted of her costume. Katy shared a paparazzi picture of her walking around to show her followers the getup, but she allegedly didn't get permission from Backgrid, the photo agency that owns the rights to the picture. It is now suing Perry for $150,o00 for failing to pay the agency to license the photo, according to E! News.
While this particular paparazzi pic dilemma took a political and Halloween-y turn, Katy's not the first celebrity to run into trouble with photo agencies over these kind of Instagrams. Gigi Hadid famously blasted a photo paparazzi agency last October after she was sued under similar circumstances. And just a few short weeks ago, the same thing happened to Jennifer Lopez after she posted a romantic pic of her and Alex Rodriguez walking down the street.
