'I’m a big-time playmaker first and foremost.' JustinM_NFL talked with ECU RB _KeatonMitchell about his size, speed, why he'd be a good teammate, which NFL teams are interested in him and more. NFLDraft

announced himself at the NFL Scouting Combine. The McDonough, Georgia native ran a 4.37 in the 40-yard dash, which was the third-fastest result among all participating ball carriers. Mitchell, who led all college football running backs in explosive rushes of 15-plus yards in 2022, also leaped a 38-inch vertical and 10-foot-6 broad jump.

Keaton Mitchell: I would give it an A-minus. It was great, but there was room for improvement. I ran a great time in the 40, it is what it is, but they kinda messed up the beginning of my run. I did the best I could. All of the things I was training for in the 40 went out the window when they told me to go back and adjust my start. I could have run faster.

JM: You have elite top-end speed. You destroy pursuit angles. Do you feel as if speed is your X-factor? Keaton Mitchell: I recently spoke with the Giants, Packers, Lions, Bengals, Seahawks, and Jets. I have the Broncos coming up as I said. I have a local workout with the Falcons on April 14. We’ll see how that goes. I’ve met with so many teams.

I respond by proving the doubters wrong. I let my play speak for itself. I didn’t have any big collegiate offers due to my size. I came into college with the mindset that I had to prove everybody wrong. It’s going to be no different at the next level. Keaton Mitchell: A team should draft me because I’m a big-time playmaker first and foremost. I can swing the momentum of the game in our favor on any given touch. It just takes one play. I can be a leader on and off the field. I lead by example. I’m not a loudmouth. I lead by example.
