Kendrick Castillo, 18, who rushed at the shooter in Colorado's STEM School Highlands Ranch, saving the lives of other students, will be honored with a procession before his memorial service.

Colorado's Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will lead its first ever procession for a civilian in honor of Kendrick Castillo, the heroic STEM School Highlands Ranch student who died while stopping a school shooter from murdering his classmates.

On Wednesday, there will be a service celebrating Castillo’s life at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch at around 12:15 p.m. Douglas County Sheriff's Office will lead a procession of 30 motorcycle officers from the Denver area to the church before the service. There will also be dozens if not hundreds of Jeeps joining the procession in honor of Castillo, who was a fan of the vehicle. The Jeep procession was organized by a Colorado group of so-called “Jeepers,” and has the consent of the Castillo family, KDVR reported.

“I just couldn't believe it, couldn't believe this was happening to my son,” John Castillo told CNN after the shooting. “I know that because of what he did, others are alive, and I thank God for that. I love him and he's a hero. He always will be,” he told CNN. “But there's another part of you that wishes he just turned and ran, retreated. You know, did something to put himself out of harm's way, if that was possible.”

YouTube Rushes To Shut Down School Shooter’s Account Over Copyright ComplaintsYouTube Rushes To Shut Down School Shooter’s Account Over Copyright ComplaintsSAN BRUNO, CA—Following the Colorado school shooting that left one dead and eight others wounded, YouTube announced Thursday it had moved quickly to shut down the accounts of one of the suspects after receiving complaints over copyright violations. “Shortly after the heartbreaking events in Highlands Ranch, we took the action of removing all the suspect’s videos in response to infringement claims made by copyright holders,” said CEO Susan Wojcicki, who explained that when the names of the accused shooters were released, YouTube had taken the immediate precaution of freezing the suspect’s account to ensure he wasn’t disseminating any messages without distributing the proper royalties. “When we saw he shared a clip owned by NBCUniversal, we scrubbed this and all other copies from the platform within minutes. Spreading this kind of content on YouTube is simply unacceptable without first receiving the proper clearances. We don’t want him inspiring others to violate intellectual property laws in similar ways.” Wojcicki added that the company would consider reinstating his account if he agreed not to share any unlicensed music.
