The organizations receiving funds include the Urban League of Greater Cleveland, the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Ohio and Ursuline College.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — KeyBank announced $1.25 million in funding on Monday that will go to support workforce development, education and diversity and inclusion efforts in Greater Cleveland.

Through the KeyBank Foundation, funding will be sent to seven nonprofits in Northeast Ohio. KeyBank said in a press release that this is part of a commitment to invest $40 billion in the communities it serves. Funding will be sent to The Cleveland Development Advisors Community Reinvestment Fund, the Urban League of Cleveland, the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Ohio, Ursuline College, Friends of Ginn Academy, City Year and the City Club of Cleveland.

“Cleveland is KeyBank’s hometown and we have a long, proud history of supporting organizations here and in all of the communities we serve,” Kelly Lamirand, KeyBank’s Cleveland market president, in a statement. “With these grants, we are lifting up and amplifying efforts that will make our communities even stronger through workforce training, financial education and economic development.”
