The entry-level Kia EV9 has an EPA-estimated range of 230 miles, while the range-topping all-wheel drive variant can travel 270 miles
The last pieces of the Kia EV9 puzzle are falling into place as the company has announced EPA-estimated ranges for the entire lineup. Starting at the bottom, the entry-level EV9 Light has a 76.1 kWh battery pack and a rear-mounted motor producing 215 hp . This setup enables the model to travel 230 miles on a single charge, which bests the targeted range by 7 miles . The distance champion is the $59,200 EV9 Light Long Range, which has a larger 99.
These are improvements of up to 27 miles . However, it will be interesting to see if the 280 mile range only applies to variants equipped with 19-inch wheels. Lastly, the $73,900 EV9 GT-Line e-AWD has 270 miles of range which blows past earlier estimates of 243 miles . As a refresher, the model has a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 379 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. This enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-60 mph in five seconds flat and hit a top speed of 124 mph .
