Shots will be available for children as young as 6 months old.
The county Department of Public Health is prepared to begin administering the Pfizer vaccine doses to children as young as 6 months old now that a panel of advisors of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention unanimously approved giving the shots to the lower age group on Saturday. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky signed off on the decision later in the day.
