Harvey, who has been president and CEO since 2012, announced in January his intention to step down. During his tenure, the partnership experienced tremendous growth, launching initiatives on racial justice and the energy transition as well as convening events and advocating for business interests.
"I've witnessed firsthand and personally experienced the value of a vibrant business community in bringing opportunity to people. That's what happened to me when we moved to Houston in 1991," Kean said."It's a unique place. It's a place where people come together and get things done, and I look forward to carrying forward that tradition."
