Disney Junior and Hasbro’s entertainment studio, eOne, are releasing the new animated kids' series Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes on March 22 in the US, and Screen Rant is ecstatic to have an exclusive first look at the trailer. Robert Vargas, who has previously written for other animated series including The Smurfs and Spidey & His Amazing Friends, is helming the show based on South African characters created by Marc Dey and Kelly Dillon.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes is an animated action-adventure that centers on seven-year-old Kiya, who loves dancing and martial arts so much that they become her superpowers. Kiya goes by the superhero name of Dance Ninja, and she is joined by her two best friends, Jay and Motsie . When these three super kids wear mystical Kimoja crystals with their headbands, their passions blend together and create the ultimate way to protect their hometown.
Kiya & The Kimoja Heroes must face off against the so-called “Flawed Friends,” three other Kimojans who wreak havoc amidst their peaceful town due to their own insecurities and jealousies. While every episode is only 11 minutes long, they each contain valuable lessons that parents can discuss with their children after watching.
