For the second game in a row, the second Splash Brother led all scorers in points to secure a win for the Dubs. Thompson's 32 points helped Golden State beat Minnesota, 109-104, on Sunday night. Two days prior, he set an NBA record by scoring 42 points without making a single two. He also became the first player in league history to have made 12 threes in multiple games in the same season.
A pair of hot shooting nights aren't enough to anoint a season savior. But Thompson's been hot for longer than that. As the NBC Sports Bay Area broadcast, Thompson's February was the third-best scoring month of his career at 25.7 points per game. It fell just 0.2 points per game short of his second-best month, which happened January 2015, and 1.3 points per game short of his best scoring month, January of this year.
