A new member of the Seattle Kraken made his debut at Climate Pledge Arena during Monday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Davy Jones is a 4-month-old husky mix that is in the process of becoming a therapy dog, in partnership with pet food company Canidae. The team plans on sharing his journey over the next few months.
Davy was adopted from Dog Gone Seattle, a nonprofit organization that’s dedicated to saving homeless dogs in high-kill shelters in Washington and beyond. Rescues are 100% funded through adoption fees and donations. Davy was adopted by Chris and Emily Scarbrough, who are members of the Seattle Kraken family. Chris Scarbrough is a leader on the Kraken’s app development team.Seattle Kraken Corporate Communications Manager De’Aira Anderson said Davy will be making appearances at Kraken home games, practices at the Kraken Community Iceplex and some community events.
