Payton makes slightly less than Wiseman for this season, but his contract is a nearly $3.5 million reduction in salary for the Warriors next season.If Payton can’t play this season, he’ll still be on the court as much as the Warriors wanted Wiseman on the court.And that potential was wildly overrated.Payton is under contract for two more seasons.
