Jason Lackowski testified that Joseph Rosenbaum, one of the people fatally shot, seemed to be a 'babbling idiot' but not a real threat to Rittenhouse's safety.
A witness who testified in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse on Friday said that Joseph Rosenbaum, one of the men fatally shot, was acting"belligerently" but did not appear to be a threat, the Associated Press reported.
The defense was able to probe into Rosenbaum's mental illness because of the prosecution's mention of his medication. It is unlikely that the judge would have allowed the defense to bring up the topic if prosecutors had steered clear of it, AP reported. But Lackowski said he turned his back and ignored him. He admitted he didn't see everything that went on between Rittenhouse and Rosenbaum, including their final clash.
