According to the mayor’s office, the city is 60.3% below its annual housing production goal. Additionally, only 16,521 interim beds exist, but, according to LAHSA’s homeless count, there are 46,260 homeless people in L.A. – much more than twice the number of available beds. As of last week, the mayor learned, about 3,000 eviction notices had been served to tenants around L.A.
