Young joins a team with multiple Americans on it, including Isaiah Wade, who played his college ball at Central Oklahoma, and DeAngelo Hamilton, who played at Washington State. The ABL is a relatively new league, founded in 2009. Its recency has made for thin competition with regards to the quantity of teams, but nonetheless, Young joins an exciting league that has tons of growth potential throughout the Asia Pacific.
Young is slated to play in a tournament October 27th-28th, which is expected to be his first appearance donning the white and black. Prior to joining the Black Bears, Young had spent 5 years away from professional basketball, so it's good to see the longtime Laker back in the thick of things.
