Police officials urge Americans not to 'attack the entire profession' for the 'horrible crimes' of the Memphis PD after the tragic beating death of Tyre Nichols.
Memphis Police Department Officers Demetrius Haley, Tadarrius Bean, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills and Justin Smith were terminated on Jan. 18 for their role in the arrest of deceased Tyre Nichols.
"If you're walking around in a black hoodie, you better be ultra professional and ultra-restrained, and that's not what we saw here," she continued."Let's not attack the entire profession like we did after George Floyd because of the horrible crimes of a few."from the night of Jan. 7, which shows the officers beating, tasing and kicking 29-year-old Nichols while he was on the ground.
