President Trump and Emmanuel Macron of France were set to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day at a time when nationalism is testing alliances
Colleville-sur-Mer, FRANCE—President Trump and Emmanuel Macron of France were set to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day at a time when nationalism is testing the world order forged in the wake of World War II.
The leaders planned to attend a ceremony Thursday at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, where some 9,300 men are buried beneath rows of chalk-white headstones, to commemorate the June 6, 1944 amphibious landing that turned the tide of the war.
