Bronny James is aiming to play college basketball at some point this upcoming season, his father LeBron James said during Los Angeles Lakers media day on Monday.
LeBron James is preparing to begin his 21st season in the NBA. He has spent the past five seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, but his dedicating this year to someone who he holds dear — he eldest son Bronny. During the Lakers media day on Monday, James noted that Bronny intended to be on the basketball court this season with the USC Trojans. Bronny suffered cardiac arrest this past summer during a team workout. James also revealed that his 19-year-old son had undergone 'successful surgery.
He added that Bronny is a 'valuable part' of the Trojans basketball team. 'We just can't comment on anything medically,' Enfield said. 'We anticipate him being a very valuable part of our basketball team.'
