An Elgin letter to the editor: Heartfelt thanks to the Elgin paramedic/firemen team at the Summit location and the 911 dispatcher.
We are so incredibly thankful for the quick and professional response to help our dear daughter-in-law with her fast and furious delivery of our third grandson - outside, on the way to the car, following the ice storm. The paramedics', firefighters' and dispatcher's combined calmness and proficiency helped save our new grandson's life as well as that of Mommy.
One cannot help but marvel at how God uses people's gifts to bless and help. Mother and son continue to thrive. Thank you to all the Elgin team for a great outcome. We're eternally grateful.
