Is this the way we want our government to function, being held hostage by a small number of people?
Are there any adults in the room? Let’s not forget that we are paying these people to act like this with our taxpayer dollars.
This means lawmakers must get paid, whether or not other parts of the government are funded. All other government employees will not fare so well. First, we simply must stop the flow of migrants at the southern border — immediately. It creates a tremendous financial burden on cities, states and the federal government.
Third, and perhaps the most difficult, we must undertake an entire review of our social welfare programs.
