U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz’s criticism of U.S. Sen. John Cornyn for supporting the debt limit deal is misplaced.“Dancer seeks to alter S.A. anti-nudity law,”While reading my e-Edition of the Express News, I noticed a “moral” burning issue in San Antonio with more than 59 comments about anti-nudity laws.
To civilized societies , it was not a big deal. To less civilized societies, it was a huge deal. You could be banished from a garden and forced to go east of Eden. You could be jailed, or worse, stoned to death. You could be tortured till you confessed not to do it again. Or, like in the “Game of Thrones,” you could be forced to do a naked walk of shame.
I hope Sunny and her movement will not suffer through any of the above ordeals. Or, she could just go northeast of San Antonio to “civilized” Austin.Re: “Cruz slams Cornyn for supporting ‘lousy’ deal on debt cap,” Metro, June 3: U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz criticized U.S. Sen. John Cornyn for supporting the debt limit deal that saved us from economic disaster.No, Cruz, you are the one who needs criticizing for not voting for the deal.So the state lawmakers have yet to come up with significant changes to lower our ultra-high property taxes. One would only affect residential, the other, both residential and commercial.
There is no way a business or property owner can keep eating higher and higher taxes without passing them on to the customers or tenants. Likewise, there’s no way a tenant can keep eating those increases without passing one to the public.
