Re: “The revolution is ongoing — Celebrate Independence Day with respect for, recognition of our nation’s history,” Tuesday Opinion. The American revolution...
Our revolution is still incomplete. Racial minorities face de facto discrimination, billionaires hold an iron grip on our economy and government, and we have yet to address our gravest sin: Native American genocide.
Equally disturbing is the fact that the first stories on the Fourth of July were reports of overnight mass shootings in Philadelphia and Fort Worth. With all the violence this holiday week, I think it would behoove our populace to read this document thoroughly and see what our Founding Fathers pledged, and exactly what their grievances were toward King George’s monarchy government and what it was imposing on the people. When I became judge of the 349th District Court of our state, I received an invitation to an annual fish camp gathering of attorneys for a weekend at the lake.
I once was proud to be a member of the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court. Now I feel as if my certificate of admittance has been denigrated by these justices. No NRA HQ in Richardson
