At 20+ weeks, every abortion is an exception. People who don’t want kids get abortions in the first trimester. Those who believe abortion should be legal at 20 weeks “with exceptions” in practice believe in abortion rights. Compare them to Republicans, who are now prosecuting people for miscarriages, and believe a zygote deserves more rights than a crying, living baby.
They may very well be denied access to birth control. If they become pregnant, even if it is the result of rape, they will be forced to give birth.
