Proposition 9 will finally give many retirees a COLA.I’m a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association, a retired Texas public school employee and educated Texas children for 22 years. I am asking for support of Proposition 9 on the November ballot.
The proposed money to finance low-interest loans for gas-fired capacity will be a small subsidy compared to the renewable subsidies already in place. Wind and solar depend upon government subsidies and mandates to be financially viable. Without these they couldn’t survive.
