I share my home with two wonderful dogs. They give me companionship and endless joy. I also own several guns that I enjoy using for target practice. However, I cannot see the need for owning either a high-powered semi-automatic rifle or a pit bull. I would heartily endorse stricter rules for adopting these dogs. I am aware that there are good pit bull and owner relationships, just as there are good-hearted people who enjoy AR-15 ownership. Too bad the headlines keep those people in the shadows.The Biden administration has proposed including sexual orientation and gender identity in the protections in Title IX. Title IX has prohibited sex discrimination in any educational program or activity receiving federal funding for the past 50 years.
