Lifetime has unveiled the first look at its chilling original movie on the NXIVM sex cult. The trailer forshows seduction, anguish, and actress Sara Fletcher looking eerily similar to convicted NXIVM member and, about her fight to free her daughter India from the cult, and shows how women were coerced into sex slavery.
Peter Facinelli plays cult leader Keith Raniere in the movie, which is part of Lifetime’s upcoming “Ripped From the Headlines” slate.Raniere was convicted in June 2019 of sex trafficking, forced labor conspiracy, human trafficking and racketeering. He’s scheduled to be sentenced on September 25.to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges after federal prosecutors accused her of helping Raniere lure women into NXIVM, by claiming the cult was a female mentorship group.
