WATCH LIVE: Authorities provide update after 5 former Memphis police officers charged with second-degree murder in Tyre Nichols' beating death.
The five Memphis police officers who were fired in connection with the death of Tyre Nichols during a traffic stop on Jan. 7 have each been charged with murder and are in custody Thursday, according to Shelby County, Tennessee, jail records.

Memphis Chief of Police Cerelyn Davis said that other Memphis police officers are still under investigation for Memphis Police Department policy violations in a video posted Wednesday evening. Nichols' family said he was kicked, pepper-sprayed and shocked with a stun gun, all while Nichols repeatedly asked, "What did I do?"
