A local man is facing charges after nearly striking a Carlisle Police car while attempting to evade officers.
According to a press release, Rasheek Feaster fled from officers in the area of S Pitt Street and W Willow Street. Police say he was possibly intoxicated. Feaster eventually stopped in the middle of the intersection at S Hanover St and Noble Bv. He refused to exit his vehicle, and after about 20 minutes of attempted negotiation, Feaster reversed and nearly struck a Carlisle Police vehicle.
He then accelerated directly into the traffic signal control box on the southwest side of the intersection, causing the traffic signal to lose power.Once cleared he was taken to the Cumberland County Prison. Feaster has been charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, obstructing the administration of law, driving under the influence, and disorderly conduct
