A forgotten detail about Loki season 2 could prove that episode 1’s biggest plot point may yet appear in future episodes of the MCU show.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Loki season 2, episode 1's biggest plot point may not yet be resolved based on a forgotten detail of the MCU show. In comparison to the first season, Loki's second outing has managed to include many elements to differentiate season 2 from its predecessor.
One of these other plot elements that had the same effect was introduced in Loki season 2: time-slipping. Loki found himself being pulled through time between the past, present, and future even though such an occurrence was impossible in the TVA. While this phenomenon was seemingly resolved by the ending of Loki season 2, episode 1, a forgotten detail about the show from before its release may hint that Loki's time-slipping will return before the story concludes.
Another shot also shows Loki reappearing from a time-slip in the TVA only to encounter another version of himself. These unseen shots may prove that Loki's time-slipping was not resolved as easily as first thought and that the concept could be reintroduced in Loki's final few episodes. That said, there is the possibility that these shots were simply cut from Loki season 2, episode 1, or crafted entirely for the show's marketing as Marvel Studios have repeatedly done in the past.
Why Loki’s Time-Slipping Returning After Episode 1 Is A Good Thing In light of this trailer detail, it remains the case that time-slipping returning after Loki episode 1 would only benefit the show. For one, it was never adequately explained why Loki was time-slipping. Some theories were concocted by members of the show's cast such as Ouroboros, yet a concrete answer as to why only Loki - and no one else in the TVA - was being pulled through time was not divulged.
Loki season 2, episode 3 introduced the idea of He Who Remains having a contingency plan in place after his death. If this is further fleshed out, it could be revealed that he used his power over time to cause Loki's time-slipping as the God of Mischief is needed to carry out the plan. The possibilities are near endless which makes the endgame of Loki season 2 difficult to predict, though it is hard to imagine Loki time-slipping not being a part of it.
