In a bizarre story coming out of of another busy wrestling weekend, new AEW world champion Chris Jericho reportedly had his prized possession stolen shortly after his big win while dining at Longhorn Steakhouse in Tallahassee, Fla. The made-for-the-internet story about the championship belt—which is believed to be either lost or stolen in all its overpraised glory—resulted in “Longhorn Steakhouse” becoming a trending item on Twitter, with some fans questioning why a world champion of Jericho’s stature didn’t elect to have a celebratory dinner at a more upscale establishment.
The victim reported the theft of his championship wrestling belt while he was eating inside Longhorn Steakhouse. The victim stated he arrived at the Millionaire Club Airport Terminal and placed the belt inside his rented limousine. The limo driver shuttled the victim to Longhorn for dinner. The victim remained at Longhorn while the limo driver returned to the airport. The victim had taken the wrong luggage from the airport and the driver took it back to the terminal.
