The other No. 1 seeds include Indiana , Virginia Tech and Stanford . A No. 1 seed has won the NCAA Tournament each of the last 10 years, so odds are one of the four top seeds will take home the title at the American Airlines Center. Only two teams from Texas made the tournament field. Texas , a four seed, will host 13-seed East Carolina in the first round. The Longhorns and Big 12 Coach of the Year Vic Schaefer will face an East Carolina team that won the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
Oklahoma is a five-seed and will play 12-seed Portland in Los Angeles. Eight-seed Oklahoma State will head to Bloomington, Indiana, to play ninth-seeded Miami , which finished the season 19-12.
