A Lord of the Rings AI art transforms every character, including Sauron, the Hobbits, and Gandalf, as if they walked out of an '80s-style anime
New AI-created art shows off a new medium for The Lord of the Rings through anime. J.R.R. Tolkien's work has been adapted for film, television, radio, video games, and even stage plays, including Peter Jackson's movies and Prime Video's Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. One of the earlier adaptations happened to be an animated film, which was released in 1978 and followed the early stages of Frodo's journey. It was one of only a few attempts to animate Tolkien's world.
The video shows Frodo, Gandalf, Gollum, Sauron, Legolas, Gimli, Saruman, Witch-King, Elrond, Aragorn, and Sam, as if they walked out of an '80s anime. Sauron looks dark and imposing, while Sam and Frodo appear as innocent hobbits as they were at the start of The Lord of the Rings.
