A battle over new housing is brewing in Los Altos Hills.

California YIMBY, which stands for “yes in my backyard” is a nonprofit focused on ending the state’s shortage of affordable housing. “In this case, Los Altos Hills thumbed its nose at the state law now they have to face the reality that builders can do what they want,” he said. “The town adopted a substantially compliant housing element prior to the state law deadline. The town is currently reviewing the proposed “builder’s remedy” project proposals.”
