The Los Angeles Police Department’s Detective Support and Vice Division, Threat Management Unit says it is investigating an altercation that occurred involving a Los Angeles City Councilmember during a community event.
Detective Support and Vice Division’s Threat Management Unit will continue to investigate this incident. Holiday cheer was given the ol’ heave-ho-ho-ho Friday night, as a Los Angeles City Council member was involved in a fight with an activist at a Christmas tree lighting event.the Los Angeles Times reportedLeón said in a statement to the media outlet that he was assaulted. Activists pointed the finger at De Leon as the aggressor.
De Leon’s spokesperson, Pete Brown, told the Times the council member was head-butted by Reedy. Several other staffers were assaulted, he claimed.
