Vin Scully will be memorialized Wednesday night at City Hall for his 67 years broadcasting Dodgers games. LAX will also honor Scully with a lights tribute.

“He was the soul of Los Angeles, the undisputed voice of America’s pastime, and the narrator of some of the most thrilling moments of our lives,” Garcetti said.Vin Scully has died, but his poetic narration of the Dodgers — Los Angeles’ most enduring sports franchise — will ring in our hearts forever.

To celebrate Scully’s life and passion for Los Angeles and his role as one of the leading voices in sports, City Hall will feature blue lights on Wednesday to celebrate Scully “and memorialize the man who could bring a city together with five magic words: ‘It’s time for Dodgers baseball,’” Garcetti said.“Tonight the iconic LAX pylons will glow in @Dodgers blue as we appreciate and remember this LA legend,” LAX said.
