A Louisiana school teacher has resigned amid allegations that she gave birth to a child fathered by a 17-year-old student, according to reports.
Sheriff Daniel Edwards confirmed the department was looking into the allegations but refused to release additional information due to the student’s age. “This type of investigation is time-consuming and is being handled with great care. Under no circumstances will we be rushed for closure,” he added.Tangipahoa Parish school system/Facebookthat the teacher had resigned from her position.
