A 65-year-old man was found dead in his Sayreville home after it went up in flames early Wednesday, authorities said. Heavy smoke and fire were pouring from a rear-window on the second floor of the single-family home on Kuberski Drive when police were called there at about 2:20 a.m.,Police tried to enter when neighbors told them that man who resides there was likely still inside, but smoke and fire thwarted the officers’ effort. Firefighters arrived, started to extinguished the fire and found the man in the house, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
