Russell, 45, was found Saturday suffering from multiple stab wounds in the backyard of a home in the 12000 block of Flushing Meadows Drive in the Scarsdale area, according to the affidavit. The roommate initially police that he believed Mitchell, who had been living at the house for about three weeks, had allegedly killed Russell while the roommate was out running an errand and that the two had been arguing over the treatment of Mitchell's new dog.
