Man arrested after threatening to kill ex-girlfriend in Vista [Breaking]
Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Saturday morning after he allegedly tried to abduct his ex-girlfriend and threatened to kill her with a 12-inch kitchen knife at her home in Vista.
The man entered the woman’s residence near North Citrus and Nevada avenues just before 6 a.m. , climbing through a window and trying to remove the woman “by forcefully grabbing her arms and dragging her toward the door,” sheriff’s officials said in a news release. The man later held the knife to the woman’s throat, causing a 2-inch cut and saying he “was going to kill her,” but later released his captive at the urging of deputies, the statement said. After holding the same knife to his own throat and stomach, officials said, he was persuaded to surrender and was taken to Vista jail.
