Man arrested in shooting at downtown San Diego library that killed one, injured one [Breaking]

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a Tuesday shooting in front of the downtown San Diego library that left one man dead and another wounded, police said.

The shooting was reported shortly after 12:15 p.m. outside the San Diego Central Library on Park Boulevard near K Street, police said.Cheney was found around 2:45 p.m. Thursday near University Avenue and Interstate 15, police said. It was not immediately clear how Cheney was identified as a suspect in the case or the circumstances that led to his arrest.

The shooting spilled out into the courtyard of the library, Campbell said. According to radio transmissions, witnesses reported at least six shots being fired before the shooter fled toward K Street. A 24-year-old man suffered at least one gunshot wound to his lower body and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The injury was not considered life-threatening, police said.
